Recipes - Snacks Super Glorious Gorp Source: Patrica Armstrong, Naperville IL Five Parts Part One: 2 cups of cereal grains (pick 3 to 4) wheat germ rolled oats Grape Nuts bran buds bircher muesli granola Part Two: 2 1/2 cups of dried fruit (pick 3 to 4) orange peel cherries raisins apricots pears figs apples bananas cranberries peaches dates Part Three: 3 cups of chopped nuts and seeds (pick 3 to 4) coconut cashews almonds brazil nuts walnuts macadamia nuts filberts leche nuts sunflower seeds peanuts chestnuts sesame seeds pecans hickory nuts Part Four: 42 ounces of chips semi-sweet chocolate chips butterscotch chips peanut butter chips Part Five: 1 tablespoon of syrup honey molasses DIRECTIONS: Chop nuts and dried fruit and place in a large dish. Add cereal grains and seeds. Melt chips and syrup in a double boiler, then pour over mixture. Mix well and press into a cookie sheet. Cool and cut into 2 by 4 inch chunks. Wrap in plastic wrap or foil. Freeze or store until ready for use. |

Curried Thai Chicken Rice Source: Freezer Bag Cooking 1 cup hot water 1 tablespoon peanut butter 7 ounce pouch of chicken Time: 10 minutes 3/4 cup instant white rice 1/4 cup instant brown rice 1 tablespoon curry powder 1 tablespoon coconut cream powder 1 teaspoon low sodium bouillon Chicken With Mashed Potatoes With Gravy With Stuffing First Part - Mashed Potatoes 1 cup hot water Time: 5 minutes 1/2 packet of instant Idaho Potato mix Second Part - Stuffing Mix 1 cup hot water 1 tablespoon ghee 5 ounce can of chicken Time: 5 minutes 1 cup instant stuffing mix 1 packet of instant chicken gravy DIRECTIONS: Put Stuffing Mix on Mashed Potatoes and eat. Chicken Fettucini Alfredo First Part - Noodles and Chicken 45 grams dehydrated cooked fettucini noodles 1/4 dehydrated chicken Second Part - Sauce 11 grams dried whole milk 1/2 packet instant alfredo sauce (about 19 grams) about 1 tablespoon Ghee DIRECTIONS: Add 1 cup boiling water to Noodles and Chicken for 10 minutes. Pour out water. Add sauce powder and ghee. Add 1/2 cup boiling water for 5 minutes. |
